Terms and Conditions – Rk Travels

The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) regulate all bookings and services provided by Rk Travels. By confirming a reservation, you acknowledge and accept these Terms. Kindly review them with attention.

1. General Provisions

• All reservations depend on availability and require confirmation.
• All communication (including emails) after booking forms a binding agreement.
• Prices and service details should be reviewed before finalizing the booking. Changes afterward may involve fees.

2. Identification and Documentation

• All guests must provide valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
• Accepted IDs include: Passport with visa, Voter ID with photo, Driving License.
• Without a valid ID, accommodation may be denied without liability to Rk Travels.

3. Payment and Refund Policy

• Full advance payment is mandatory for confirmed bookings.
• Non-payment may lead to cancellation of services.
• Refunds, if any, will follow vendor terms and Rk Travels’ refund policy.
• No refunds for:
  • Unused services.
  • Short stays or early check-outs.
  • Missed excursions due to itinerary changes or guest delays.
  • Natural disasters, strikes, weather or similar force majeure events.

4. Travel Insurance

• Strongly recommended to have comprehensive travel insurance.
• Insurance should cover cancellations, delays, health issues, geopolitical events, and terrorism.
• Refunds due to such events will be processed only if supported by insurance.

5. Itinerary and Vehicle Conditions

• Itineraries may change due to operational/safety constraints.
• AC may not function in hilly areas or when stationary.
• Drivers operate a maximum of 12 hours per day as per regulations.
• Night driving or music may be restricted in hilly zones.
• Guests may need to arrange local transport in narrow/market areas.
• Vehicle movement is limited to planned itinerary unless pre-approved. Extra charges may apply.

6. Pickup, Drop-off & Parking

• Only one pickup and one drop point unless otherwise pre-approved in writing.
• Guests may need to walk or hire local transport from parking zones at tourist spots.
• Repeat entries or costly parking areas require prior approval and may incur charges.

7. Conditions for Hotels and Accommodations

• Check-in: 14:00 | Check-out: 11:00. Early/late access depends on availability and may cost extra.
• Extra adults often receive a mattress, not an extra bed. Please inform us in advance.
• Extras like Wi-Fi, heaters, and room service are excluded unless specified.
• Meal plans may be buffet/fixed/limited-credit. Add-ons are chargeable.

8. Health and Safety

• Guests must notify allergies, mobility issues, or health concerns in advance.
• It is assumed all guests are fit for travel.
• Special accommodations require advance planning and may not be universally available.

9. Responsibility and Force Majeure

• Rk Travels is not liable for injuries, deaths, or medical events during the tour.
• Loss or theft of belongings is not our responsibility.
• Events like bad weather, political unrest, or transport delays may impact schedules.
• In case of vehicle breakdowns, timely repairs or replacements will be attempted.
• All legal matters will fall under the jurisdiction of Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India.
